Topped with a lemony glaze, this cake is hassle free!<\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CAKE<\/strong><br \/>\n1 \u00bd cups All Purpose Flour<br \/>\n1 \u00bd tsp Baking Powder<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp <a href=\"https:\/\/coppermooseoilandvinegar.com\/index.php\/product\/vanilla-bean-sea-salt\/\">Vanilla Bean Sea Salt<\/a><br \/>\n3 Large Eggs<br \/>\n\u00be cup White Sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp Lemon Zest<br \/>\n\u00bd cup <a href=\"https:\/\/coppermooseoilandvinegar.com\/index.php\/product\/vanilla-maple-infused-extra-virgin-olive-oil-new-limited-time-2\/\">Vanilla Maple Infused Olive Oil<\/a><br \/>\n\u00bd cup Milk<\/p>\n<p><strong>LEMON ICING<\/strong><br \/>\n2 cups plus 2 Tbsp Powdered Sugar<br \/>\n2 tsps Lemon Zest<br \/>\n3 Tbsp Lemon Juice<br \/>\n2 Tbsp <a href=\"https:\/\/coppermooseoilandvinegar.com\/index.php\/product\/meyer-lemon-balsamic-vinegar\/\">Meyer Lemon Balsamic Vinegar<\/a><br \/>\nOptional: Fresh Fruit and Flowers, for decorating<\/p>\n<p><strong>DIRECTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In a medium bowl sift the flour and baking powder. Add the sea salt and mix to combine. Set aside.<\/li>\n<li>Preheat the oven to 350F and place your oven rack in the middle of the oven. Prepare an 8\u201d cake pan by greasing with olive oil, dusting with flour, and fitting with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>In a large bowl or with a stand mixer whip eggs on medium until foamy, about 1 minute. Add the sugar and lemon zest, increase the speed to high and whip until mixture is fluffy and pale yellow, about 3 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce the mixer to low and slowly drizzle in the olive oil and milk.<\/li>\n<li>Add half the flour mixture and mix on low speed, scraping down the sides. Add the rest of the flour repeating the same process, careful not to overmix your batter.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the batter to your prepared cake pan. Bake until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean, about 35-45 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Let the cake cool about 15 minutes before removing from the pan onto a wire rack to cool completely, about 1-2 hours.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl whisk together the ingredients for the icing.
